The Impact on Karst Aquifer Regimes Induced by a Surface Reservoir in Karst through Multiparametric Analyses (Reservoir Bileća—Herzegovina)

چکیده
The results of long-term groundwater monitoring in the Bileća reservoir adjacent (eastern Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina) indicate that there is a good hydraulic connection between karst aquifer located right bank reservoir. In remote parts right-bank aquifer, due to complex lithostratigraphic characteristics tectonic structure, influence very variable has been insufficiently studied up until now. This paper presents analysis synthesis new, relevant hydrogeological data, as basis for creation 3D spatial model, i.e., system’s behaviour, both under regular artificial hydrological conditions surface construction its continuous use (filling emptying). interactive model time series data this system presented through hydrodynamic characteristics, which completes regime caused by low high levels water levels. integration all into one further multiparametric analyses revealed different types prevailing with regard or waters

Karst Aquifer Recharge: Comments on Somaratne, N. Characteristics of Point Recharge in Karst Aquifers.
The article “Characteristics of Point Recharge in Karst Aquifers, Water 6: 2782–2807” by N. Somaratne evaluates various recharge estimation techniques applied to four limestone aquifers in South Australia. Somaratne [1] concludes that methods based on watertable fluctuations, groundwater modelling and water budgets are independent of recharge processes, and are therefore superior to the chlorid...
متن کاملLong distance seawater intrusion through a karst conduit network in the Woodville Karst Plain, Florida
Five periods of increased electrical conductivity have been found in the karst conduits supplying one of the largest first magnitude springs in Florida with water. Numerous well-developed conduit networks are distributed in the Woodville Karst Plain (WKP), Florida and connected to the Gulf of Mexico. A composite analysis of precipitation and electrical conductivity data provides strong evidence...
متن کاملContamination of the Konar Siah Karst Spring by Saltdom
There are about 200 salt plugs in the southern part of the Zagros Mountain Ranges and the Persian Gulf in Iran (Kent, 1970). The salt comes from the Hormuz salt Formation at the base of the Phanerozoic zone. It moves upward due to the buoyancy, the latteral pressure resulting from the opening of the Red Sea to the southwest, and the weight of several thousand meters of overlying sediments. It m...
متن کاملE: Impact of agronomic practices of an intensive dairy farm on nitrogen entrations in a karst aquifer in Ireland HORS:
Exploring the relationship between agricultural nitrogen (N) loading on a dairy farm and groundwater reactive N concentration such as nitrate (NO3) is particularly challenging in areas underlain by thin soils and karstified limestone aquifers. The present study on such a site aims to relate changes in detailed paddock specific agronomic N-loading, hydrogeological and geological site characteris...
متن کاملOn the Coupled Continuum Pipe Flow Model (ccpf) for Flows in Karst Aquifer
We show that the coupled continuum pipe flow model (CCPF) for flows in karst aquifers is ill-posed in the sense that no reasonable solution exists. We also demonstrate that Hua’s modified CCPF model is ill-posed in 3D although it is well-posed in two spatial dimensions. A new modification of the original CCPF model that is consistent with basic physics is proposed and its well-posedness is prov...
